TAKE A STAND, SIT FOR CHANGE: 3rd Annual Sit-A-Thon
is a dynamic, informative and inspiring daylong event, featuring hourly sessions of sitting, walking and moving meditation; yoga; green and healthy lifestyle exhibits; and live music and spoken word.

SIT FOR CHANGE is an invitation for individuals, groups and organizations "to take a stand and sit for change" in their communities, cities and the world by inviting them to explore new ideas for creating social change. Hosted by the Center of Transformative Change (CXC) which is the first national center entirely dedicated to bridging the inner and outer lives of social change agents, activists and allies to support a more effective, more sustainable social justice movement for all.

• A 50% fee will be retained in the event of a cancellation up until Sept. 3, after which no refunds will be issued.

**Social Justice Organizations are defined as not-for-profit organizations that work to secure safety, security and/or self-determination, i.e.; to restore just and equitable opportunity and access, on behalf of historically oppressed and/or marginalized people including, but not limited to: ethnic minorities, people of color, at-risk youth, indigenous peoples, LGBTIQ people, people with disabilities or limited abilities, etc. Priority for free space will be given to organizations that use transformative/personal development practices to guide their work. You may ‘purchase’ a free space for a $25 deposit which will be refunded on the day of the event if you attend. Limited number of free spaces available. You may register on the day of the event for any remaining available free spaces. Please note there is a joint fund raising opportunity available for all non-profits - visit http://sitforchange.org for more info.

• Submit a valid CA Sellers Permit number with this application. It may be obtained by calling the State Board of Equalization 510.622.4100. You are responsible for collecting and reporting all sales tax. Use reporting address as 2180 Milvia St., Berkeley, CA 94704.

• Email or submit 2 photographs of your items for sale. The photos should be representative of that to be sold at the event. Photos will be used to determine if items screened are the same as that which is sold at event. Enclose a SASE if you would like them returned.

• After receiving your application and fees, producer will assign vendors a 6’ table space. Parking is available in parking lots on Allston Way (enter above Milvia); Center St. (enter above Milvia); Kittredge Garage (enter above Milvia).

• Begin set up after 9 a.m. to be open for business at 10 a.m. Remain open until 4 p.m.

• No sales of alcohol. No Styrofoam is allowed in Berkeley. Alcohol-free event.

• One 6' table and chair provided. Water is available. There is minimal electricity available for activity vendors only.

• Show may be canceled at the discretion of the Producer, the City, or the underwriters if unforeseen circumstances occur. Call 510.548.5335 for recorded information that morning. No refunds or payments will be made if show is canceled.
